Frequently Asked Questions
What types of writing do you specialize in editing?
We specialize in non-fiction (i.e. personal development, transformational narratives, and research papers), fiction (i.e. children's picture storybooks and novels), poetry collections, blog entries, professional documents (i.e. curriculum vitae, resume, artist statement, and bios), and website and email copy.

What is the difference between proofreading and editing?
Proofreading is not editing. It is a final review of your writing after developmental editing has happened. It focuses on grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Developmental editing, also known as content editing, allows for the deep perfecting of your writing, including your style, tone, content organization, and overall development.
What is writer coaching?
Writer coaching is a 1:1 session with a writing coach. The writing coach helps to equip you with the tools necessary to strengthen your writing in a more detailed fashion and in most cases, with a specific focus in mind.

What should I expect of the writing process?
You should expect your writing process to stretch your ability to think critically and analytically about what you are writing and who you are writing for. You should also expect to grow as a writer and professional, with an intent to commit to producing the type of writing that readies your project for publication.

How much will my writing project cost?
We align our pricing to U.S. editorial freelancer rates. The overall cost of your project will be determined by your writing and/or editing need, manuscript length, and turnaround time frame. Our editing and writing services for professional documents are flat rate based.
